'Echidna' original (SOLD)

Original artwork. Size roughly 18"x22" (framed).  This piece was inspired by a beautiful echidna that I encountered closely to my home, only days after the 2020 bushfires had raged through our community on the South Coast. There was barely any signs of life within the environment. Yet, wandering over the charred land surrounding our home, was this beautiful and unharmed echidna. I took the opportunity to capture some photos of this one, which then later became a reference for this special piece. 
 
This piece was created with high quality pastel pencils and soft pastels on pastel mat. Pastel mat ensures this piece is long lasting, as it holds the pastel extremely well. This artwork has already been professionally framed for you by Ulladulla Picture Framing. Framing style and colours were carefully chosen to best compliment this artwork. The double mat board adds a beautiful dimension and colour to the framing, while also lifting the glass off the artwork to ensure it will not be smudged. This glass is high quality anti-reflective glass. When hanging your artwork, please avoid positioning it in a place with exposure to direct sunlight, as this can cause the artwork to fade over time.
